Range & Status

On decayed stumps or trunks of fallen deciduous trees, most often Elm Ulmus spp. An unmistakable species, genuinely rare, which became locally common during the epidemic of Dutch elm disease. At least five post-1984 records, the most recent being Budock Water (2003) and Bridge near Portreath (2007).
